We all know that Windows Media Player comes with every Windows operating system and most users prefer using it because it’s simple and easy to use.

Reinstall Windows Media Player
Open Run and type in the command appwiz.cpl
, hit Enter key or click “OK“. You can also access Programs and Features from the power user menu (Windows+X).

Click on “Turn Windows features on or off” display the “Windows Features” window.

Go to “Media Features” and then uncheck “Windows Media Player“. A dialog box will show up.

Click “Yes” and “OK” to uninstall Windows Media Player.
After Windows Media Player in uninstalled Windows will ask for a reboot. Restart your computer and repeat the steps but this time reinstall Windows Media Player by rechecking it in the list of Windows Features window.
