Does you “Downloads” folder take ages to load? If so, this is the ultimate solution!
One of the reasons I was getting worried about is the fact that the bigger the “Downloads” folder got the harder it was for me to access my downloaded files from it.
If you are facing the same problem then there is a solution that works like magic.
Let’s not lose any more time and get straight to the trick.
First open the file Explorer using Windows+E key combination.
Go to your Downloads folder and right-click on it. Choose “Properties“.
Then open the tab “Customize” and set “Optimize this folder for:” to “General items” instead of “Pictures“.
The truth about this type of optimization lies in telling Windows to not show the images’ icons while loading the “Downloads” folder.
Click “OK” and try opening your “Downloads” folder again, you will see a significant increase in performance!
