Download The Official Windows 10 ISO Legally

As we all know Microsoft made a large campaign to push all of us to upgrade to Windows 10, through a tool called “Media Creation Tool“.

This tool downloads all the needed files internally, you just have to click one button and the tool takes care of everything; no ISO to download, no ISOtoUSB nor burning DVDs for this to work.

But how can I download the ISO? Some of you asked me…

Well, apart from downloading the ISO from third-party websites and torrents there is a better way. You can download your own ISO from Microsoft official website for Windows 10. And it’s Free, but you still need an activation key but you can still use it on trial until you find or buy one yourself.

Windows 10 is a service and is getting improved with continuous development and upgrades, there will be no newer version of Windows but Windows 10. As announced by Microsoft.

To download your own ISO now, please open this link from Microsoft and click on “Download tool now” to download the Media Creation Tool first.

After the downloading is finished, double-click on your .exe file and accept the license terms.

Choose “Create installation media (USB flash drive, DVD, or ISO file) for another PC“.

Click “Next“.

The tool will detect recommended options based on your existing installation of Windows 10, you can uncheck and edit the options as you wish, click “Next“.

Choose “ISO file” and click on “Next“.

Choose a folder where there is space (at least 4GB). Click on “Save“.

Now enjoy your time while the download is processing… this will take few minutes based on your connection speed.

After the download is finished you can burn the ISO on the fly using the DVD burner or you can just skip by clicking “Finish“.

As you can see as of the date of this tutorial the size of the ISO file is ~4GB. You can use this ISO later to create your bootable USB Drive or to install Windows 10 on your USB Drive.
