Clean Temporary Files in C Drive
Open up your Run prompt using the Windows+R keyboard shortcut, and type in temp
, hit Enter.

Press Ctrl+A to select all and press Shift+Delete. Confirm by clicking “Yes“.

If a window with the title “Folder Access Denied” appears, then check “Do this for all current items” and click “Continue“.

If some files are in use, do “Skip” with “Do this for all current items” checked.

Same goes for the local AppData temp files, use the variable %temp%
in Run prompt.

Delete all…

Delete Prefetch Temporary Files
Open up your Run prompt using the Windows+R keyboard shortcut, and type in prefetch
, hit Enter.

Delete all as we did before…

Uninstall Unwanted Software
Right-click on your Start menu icon to open the Start context menu and choose “Apps and Features“.

Choose the apps you are not using and click “Uninstall“.

Optimize Your C Drive
Right-click on your system drive and choose “Properties“.

On the “Tools” tab, click on the “Optimize” button.

Select your C:
drive and click “Optimize“.

Do Disk Cleanup to Free Space on C Drive
On the Properties window, in the General tab, click on “Disk Cleanup“.

Click on “Clean up system files” to show more options for more cleaning features.

Select everything you find unimportant, if you don’t want to remove your downloaded files uncheck “Downloads“.
Click “OK“.

Wait for a couple of minutes…

Clean the Registry for Free Using CCleaner
You can download CCleaner for free from this URL: https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/download
After installing, open the Registry menu, click on “Scan for Issues“”.

Click “Fix selected Issues…“. Then click “Fix All Selected Issues“. You can backup the Registry if you want.
