You will learn how to use OpenDNS to block adult online using only one PC to update the network IP, for this you will need to set up the network to use the OpenDNS servers in the router.
If you want to block xxx websites only on one PC this tutorial is also for you especially if you have kids.

Block Adult Websites Using OpenDNS for Free Without Software
Change DNS on Your PC
First open Run prompt and enter this command ncpa.cpl
, click “OK“.

Right-click on your connection card or adapter and click “Properties“.

Choose “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)” and click “Properties“.

Check “Use the following DNS server addresses” and enter these IP addresses and click “OK“:
208.67.222.222 208.67.220.220

Change DNS on Your Router
If you are using a router and want to block xxx websites on all your network just login to your dashboard at http://192.168.1.1
and go to Advanced > Lan Settings and change the DNS servers.

Create an OpenDNS Account
Open this URL on a new tab and fill your information, (you will need your email and password later on so remember them): https://signup.opendns.com/homefree/

Open your inbox and click on the confirmation link…

Click on “Add a network“.

Click “Add this Network“.

Put a name for your network (e.g Home) and click on “OpenDNS Updater for Windows“.

After the program is downloaded install it…

Click “Finish“.

OpenDNS Updater will launch automatically, if not search opendns
in Start and open “OpenDNS Updater“.

Click on “Update now“.

Back on your browser, go to “Settings” and choose “Moderate” and click “Apply“.
Changes need at least 10 minutes to take effect and allow your settings to propagate over OpenDNS network.

Try to open a adult website, you will see a message like this one…
